Kezia Lightfoot

Head of Communications
Jersey

Kezia Lightfoot

Over the past 15 years, I've worked across professional services, banking, insurance, fintech, legal before moving  agency-side, with these roles taking me from the Isle of Man to Hong Kong, New York and now Jersey.

Most of my career has been spent working with leaders and professionals to develop and guide their strategic marketing and communications plans. I love working with people who have ambitious commercial goals and showing them how marketing is an essential piece of the puzzle to achieve those goals, adding value and demonstrating impact every step of the way.

The thing I enjoy most is bringing those plans to life. It's about working out what needs to happen, bringing the right people together and delivering something great. Seeing strategies become reality and helping teams recognise the real commercial impact and value of marketing is what really motivates me.

When I moved to Jersey, I wasn’t just moving my life to a new location, but I was also moving from an in-house role to agency life. I wanted to work across different sectors and use my experience to work closely with a wider team of experts to deliver amazing work for clients. I love working alongside clever people with different expertise, learning something new, trying different approaches and exploring how ideas can work in reality.

My colleagues often describe me as the calm in the storm. I really like bringing structure to complexity, putting a clear plan in place and making sure the right people are involved to deliver it successfully.

Outside work, I love a challenge and any chance to win a medal. Whether it's hiking, rowing or trying something completely new, I'm always testing to see just how far I can push myself.

Favourite song

When thinking about songs I love, I always think of the place I heard them and the people I was with above the song itself. Sunlight ft Years & Years always makes me think of sitting in the sunshine with in the West Village friends.
